If your interest lies with sports cars, the Audi R8 provides an amazingly designed, powerful sports car. The R8 was initially equipped with a V8 4.2-liter internal combustion engine. This was an eight-cylinder petrol engine with FSI and was similar to the one used in Audi RS4. The only difference was the modification to use dry sump lubrication system. Later the engine was changed to a V10 5.2 FSI internal combustion engine similar to that of Lamborghini Gallardo. With this engine, the R8 is capable of accelerating to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. Unlike other Audi models that have standard Audi HID kit equipped with Audi xenon headlights, the R8 has all-led headlights. The Audi R8 has the same safety features found in other Audi models such as the electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system, front dual-stage airbags and curtain airbags. It also includes LED safety lights mounted under the headlamps. One distinctive feature of the r8 is larger breaks and wider road wheels on its rear axle. The R8 is available in 6-speed manual and R Tronic transmissions. It utilizes a permanent Quattro four-wheel drive and has a wheelbase of 104inches.
